Three metres above the sky/ Three steps above heaven

Well, when we have been given a homework about writing a sequel to the favourite film, it didn’t take me a long to think about this movie. Although I have watched it before, I could watch it again and again if I have a chance. And I can surely say that it’s one of my favourite romance/drama film that has been released in not a long time ago, in 2010. 

It’s Spanish film and includes two parts, first is the Three metres above the sky/

Three steps above heaven, second one is I Want You 2012.  

The movie starts when Hugo (the main character) comes back home, boy with the aggressive nature and risk taking attitude then meeting a girl Babi who was raised in well mannered, upper class family.

Who knew that these two can come together and fall in love? When I watching the film for the first time, I thought how different these two young people are and can they be together? No, I thought, then when the characters came together then I have changed my mind. Well, two opposite worlds came together, fall in love, other things were unnecessary. 

The best part which I like the most is when Hugo, boy with the reckless attitude, can be seen the boy who fell in love and love changes him to the good side. But it will not be for a long time, these couples face difficulties and those differences will be on their way then they will broke up. Hugo will lose his best friend Pollo in motorcycle races and he will not forgive himself not being there in that moment. Babi loved him but she couldn’t accept all the mistakes, pains that Hugo does/have and understands that he is not the best choice for him like her mom used to state it all the time. 

At the end of the film Hugo and Babi will split up, Hugo will leave to London and Babi will be seeing another person. 

In my opinion, it’s a great film with lots of ups and downs, carries the viewer to watch whole movie until the end. Despite the not really happy ending, which I wish there was, it left me like I have eaten the cake but I couldn’t taste the sweetness of it. Would I advise this film to others? Surely, if you love to watch romantic movies yourself or with your loved ones.
